This dataset includes all of the existing active transportation facilities in the Tahoe Basin, including shared use paths, bike lanes, bike routes, and sidewalks.

Active transportation facilities are denoted by class, where Class 1 is a separated shared-use path; Class 2 is a bike lane; Class 3 is a bike route; Class 5 are complete street improvements; PED is sidewalk. Winter maintenance refers to whether a class 1 path or sidewalk will be plowed and maintained in the winter and does not apply to bike lanes or routes. Data is updated ad hoc, as projects are constructed, and every four years as part of the Active Transportation Plan. Last updated in Spring 2024.
