This feature layer shows the proposed ferry routes and stops on the Lake Tahoe, as a form of public transportation.
The proposed ferry routes were identified in the Long Range Transit Master Plan and 2020 Regional Transportation Plan. A ferry service would provide a critical link between the North and South shores, and water taxis would ferry passengers between popular beaches and marinas during the peak summer months. Additional funding and infrastructure is needed for the cross-lake ferry to begin operating.
